1. Introduction

Kiruna Labs, Inc. ("we", "us", "our") operates Trickle, a local-first desktop application for using AI on unreliable network connections. Your conversations, API keys, and personal data stay on your machine. We collect limited, anonymous telemetry to improve the app.

2. What We Collect

Crash Reports

When errors occur, Trickle sends crash reports to a third-party crash reporting service. Reports include error type, stack trace, app version, and OS. They never include your message content, AI responses, or API keys — these fields are scrubbed before transmission.

Usage Analytics

We collect anonymous, aggregate event counts (e.g., how often conversations are created) to prioritize features. No message content or API keys are included.

Network Telemetry

To improve Trickle's connection resilience, we collect anonymous network performance metrics: latency, throughput, signal quality, and session reliability stats. Your WiFi network name is cryptographically hashed before upload and cannot be reversed. Device identifiers are stripped before transmission. You can disable telemetry uploads in Settings at any time.

Network telemetry never includes message content, API keys, browsing history, or any information that identifies you.

3. How We Use It

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

4. Third Parties

We use third-party services for crash reporting, analytics, and telemetry storage. Each operates under its own privacy policy. Your AI messages are sent directly to the provider you select in the app — we never see or store them.

5. Your Rights & Controls

6. Children, Changes & Contact

Trickle is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
